By Steve McLinden

Onward, the Mexican land rush.Lured by beachfront vistas, quaint colonial backdrops and a historic construction boom, thousands of Americans are heading down Mexico way to snap up vacation homes, retirement villas and investment properties.

Denver broncos cheerlearders in Sayulita for 2005 calender

Some images shot on location in Sayulita VIllage.

Always looking to take their annual calendar to the next level, the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders ventured into uncharted waters for the 2005 edition of their photographic journey through the year. For the first time in squad history, they traveled outside Colorado’s borders to capture the images that will adorn the pages each month – venturing all the way to Mexico for this year’s photo shoot.

Taking their show on the road, all 34 cheerleaders boarded a plane and headed south – venturing to the coastal city of Puerto Vallarta for the seven-day shoot. When looking at potential locales, the popular tourist destination and seaside paradise was an easy choice.

Fonatur is planning two new resort destinations

By Barnard R. Thompson

Fonatur (National Trust Fund for Tourism Development), Mexico’s government-funded tourism development agency, for the first time in nearly 20 years will launch two new major resort development projects before the year is out.

Nearby town is laid-back antidote to Puerto Vallarta
SAYULITA, Mexico - As the heat rises into the mid-90s, this little Pacific coastal town 25 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta airport empties out of tourists and seems to let out a long exhalation.

Steep or Cheap!
Sayulita, north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has pristine beaches, small-town attitude and lovely lodging at modest prices.  By Sara Perry, The Oregonian
Their Little Secret but for how long?!
The tiny fishing village of Sayulita, Mexico, just an hour's drive north of Puerto Vallarta, is still only a footnote in most travel guides, which give it a half-page at most. But to those visitors who have discovered its charms in recent years -- the uncluttered white beaches, the tidy surf break, the amiable fishermen gutting their catch by the sea, the tranquil town square with its rustic taco stands and tortillerías -- there's only one thing wrong with Sayulita.  By JANELLE, New York Times
La Vida Cheapo
For 600 bucks a month, retirees in Mexico can live in a three-bedroom home, with a gardener. For a cool thousand...well, you won’t believe it.
